Wax & White

I had a canny couple of hours on the Leas at South Shields this afternoon. I had just parked the car when I spotted a largish white gull among the Black-headed Gulls I realised I was looking at an Iceland Gull. I just had enough time to get out of the car get the camera on the tripod fire off a few shots before the gulls were off. I then went off to find the loan Waxwing that has been around for a few days. It was showing really well in the bushes on the mound. The numerous dog walkers that were passing underneath it along the path did not even bother it. I took a few hundred shots here are just a few of them.
