South Shields

With word coming from South Shields yesterday that there were three Yellow Browed Warbler at the Trow I had to have a drive down to get what would prove to be a lifer for me. Not only was there YBW in the Trow there was also (edited) Song Thrush, Stonechat, Chiffchaff and dozens of Goldcrest. A Weasel put in a brief appearance as well to make it a canny morning out.

    That is an exceptional set. Hard to pick a favourite but the Redwing with the berry just shades it......just.

    Thanks for the comment but my bird identification appears to be nearly as bad as my dragonfly identification, in other words c**p.
