Grey Wagtail

Pair of Grey Wagtail where I work have decided to build a nest beside a retaining wall of old railway sleepers. Not unusual but what I find unusual is that it is hundreds of yards away from the nearest small stream and I always associate Grey Wagtails with fast flowing water, how wrong was I.

Female with food for the chicks

Female calling

Male with food for the chicks. The male is a very flighty bird not as easy to approach as the female

Male calling. This bird has a ring so in a couple of day’s time when I get back to work I will try to get a closer view of it.

I managed to get a couple of poor flight shots

Could this be a candidate for White Wagtail or just a juvenile Pied Wagtail?
